How Do I Start Sharing Bills?

From the app's home page, you have three ways to get started:

  1. Scan a Receipt — Instantly create a group with all receipt items added as expenses.
  2. Create a Bill — Start a group with a single expense and add more later.
  3. Create a Group — Set up an empty group, add members first, and add bills when you're ready.

You can always scan a receipt or add a bill later by navigating into the group.

How Do I Split a Bill?

Select a group member at the top right and toggle the expenses they participated in. By default, expenses are split equally using the split by share mode. To customize, swipe the expense to the right and adjust it in the edit popup.

You only need to split expenses that aren’t shared equally among all group members. Any unsplit amount will appear at the top right—click it to customize how it’s divided.

Can I See a Summary of Who Owes Who?

Yes! On the group page, you'll find the Summary and Payments tabs at the bottom.

  • Summary shows a detailed breakdown of who consumed and paid how much for each bill, along with completed settlements between members.
  • Payments displays the remaining payments needed to settle balances and make everyone square.
How Do I Make a Settlement?

Go to the Payments page, where you'll see a circular button next to each payment. This shows whether the payment is already settled. Click the button to mark it as settled, or click the payment to settle a specific amount if only part of the total is being resolved.
